Proctors return for second GT Open campaign with Greystone GT

April 19, 2024

Greystone GT are very pleased to announce a second entry into the International GT Open with Stewart and Lewis Proctor continuing to race their McLaren 720S GT3 Evo in the European-based series.

The father-and-son line-up, who finished last year with a maiden Pro-Am podium finish will once again continue in the class for the Silverstone-based team.

The Aberdeen duo claimed the British GT Silver-Am title in 2021 while Lewis, who burst onto the scene as one of the first McLaren Driver Development Programme graduates in 2018, has also been a class podium finisher in the GT World Challenge Europe.

Lewis and Stewart began their preparations for the new season with a test in their McLaren at Portimao, Portugal and continued preparations at Spa-Francorchamps earlier this month.

They join the previously confirmed Andrey Borodin and Oliver Webb in the Greystone GT line-up.

The International GT Open gets underway on April 28 at Portimao, Portugal, and takes in eight rounds in as many countries across Europe; climaxing at Monza, Italy, in October.

Lewis Proctor said: “I am very excited to start our second season in the International GT Open. We made good progress over 2023 and we’re looking forward to having some strong results this year. Greystone GT have a fantastic group of people that will be supporting us this year and with the second car of Andrey and Oli in the garage we will make big strides forward as a team.”

Mark McLoughlin, Team Principal, said: “It’s great to have Stewart and Lewis back for a second season of International GT Open competition. The 2023 season was our first in the series and featured a lot of circuits that were new to us plus a tyre that neither we, nor either driver, had raced with before. To go from newcomers to Pro-Am podium finishers by the end of the season showed a huge amount of progress by the whole team and after the pre-season we’ve had, I think we’re in the strongest position we’ve ever been in. We’re aiming high.”
