Greystone GT will continue its journey on the international stage this October, entering the final round of the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup (9–12 October, Barcelona) with a McLaren 720S GT3 Evo.
The Silver-class entry marks a significant milestone for the team, which has risen rapidly through the ranks since its first GT Cup outing in 2021. In less than five years, Greystone GT has delivered on its latest goal to compete at the highest levels of GT racing, establishing itself as one of the UK’s fastest-growing endurance racing outfits.
The Barcelona line-up features Jayden Kelly, Zac Meakin, and Michael O’Brien. For Kelly and O’Brien, the step up into GTWC represents a continuation of their Greystone GT journey, having already raced with the team in both McLaren Trophy and GT Open. For Meakin, British GT4 Champion, a Race Winner in Trophy and a multiple GT3 podium finisher, Barcelona will mark his debut outing in Greystone GT colours.
Mark McLoughlin, Founder of Greystone GT, said:
“When we formed the team, we set the goal of racing in GT World Challenge within five years and it is important to us that we have honoured that commitment, even if it seemed ambitious at the time. This is just one of many milestones we have set and now we look forward to sharing the grid with the toughest GT competition in the world.”
He added:
“What makes this step particularly satisfying is that two of our drivers — Michael and Jayden — have come through Greystone GT’s own programmes. It underlines our commitment to supporting the development of our team drivers and proves that if a driver starts with us in the junior categories of GT racing then they have a genuine chance of progressing into top-flight GT3 competition. That’s a big part of what makes our team attractive to drivers at every stage of their careers.”
The car will be the same McLaren 720S GT3 Evo currently raced by Jayden Kelly and Josh Rattican in GT Open. The Silver-class entry comes as Silver-graded drivers expressed interest in joining the team’s GTWC effort in recent months, though Greystone GT maintains ambitions to compete across multiple categories — including Pro and Gold — in the future.
The race weekend runs from 9–12 October at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, with the GT World Challenge Endurance Cup finale capping off a landmark season for Greystone GT.
